Inspiration Can Arise from Weird Sources

Everyone has their own varied set of interests from which they draw inspiration. One such thing is the famous TV show, Game of Thrones. Tomorrow is the day when season 7 of this show will be aired and I’m unable to contain my excitement.

For those of you who haven’t watched GOT, no worries. I’m here to share some really valuable wisdom that this show and the GOT books have inflicted upon me. They really inspired me and maybe they inspire you too. It might sound like I’m talking about real-life persons. Although they are just characters, but just try and jump into that world with me and forget the fiction.

The most important inspirational characters from this show for me are Tyrion Lannister and Jon Snow.

Here’s one of the most epic quote by Tyrion in the show:

He is a dwarf and has been ever since underestimated for his caliber. However, irrespective of his small size, he the wisest and the most clever of them all. He’s always into books and has the power to lead than any of those swordsmen in Westeros.

He inspires me that your size, color, caste, creed, religion can never hold you back until you let them. He knows he’s a dwarf and he cannot do anything about it. So he has accepted that and feels proud to be one. His reckless exterior now doesn’t allow anyone to bring his morale down because of this. He has accepted it. He has went through a lot of hatred, sufferings, most of them inflicted by his own family out of hate. But he never stopped hoping. He wore his hardships as an armor and off he goes, picking himself up to reach a place he’s truly meant for!

The second character that really inspires me is Jon Snow.

Being a bastard of Ned Stark, he never received mother’s love from Ned’s wife. He was always hated and treated with inferiority at his castle. Later, when he thought he was no good here, he decided to join Night’s Watch. Although he was the best swordsman there, he was never respected. He could have easily let his status and all the bullies break him. But he knew he had to stand strong. He fought and he fought with bravery. He dealt with betrayal and became the Lord Commander. Leader gets recognized, sooner or later. Hope and staying strong are the only two way to it. 

Both of these are on their way to what they deserve the most. Tyrion’s wisdom has paid off and he’s now the hand of the queen. Jon Snow has been declared the king in the north because people now accept that he’s the only wise leader to save them from the white walkers.

Coming out of the show, I just want to say… Even if you are facing criticism and unluckiness right now, just hold on to hope. Your time will come. And when that comes, you’ll fly! You’ll fly high and you’ll get what you always desired for and what you always deserved. You just have to stand strong and not let people’s opinions bring you down at any cost. Get yourself together and just believe in yourself. You are gonna make it!
